Summary:

  • Shaun Deeb has won the WSOP Circuit event at Turning Stone for $34,000.
  • The victory builds early momentum for the player ahead of the 2026 WSOP season.
  • Deeb is now eligible for the Poker Hall of Fame for the first time.

Shaun Deeb has won the 2026 World Series of Poker Circuit event at Turning Stone. The New York poker pro has built a reputation for consistently chasing the POY title, and with multiple wins already to his name, he’s in rare company alongside Daniel Negreanu.

As the 2026 poker calendar starts to heat up, Deeb looks like he’s gearing up for another serious run.

He Took Down a Field of 577 Players

With the World Series of Poker Europe just around the corner and the summer edition of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas not far behind, Deeb has already given himself a solid start.

His latest result came at WSOP Circuit Turning Stone, a stop that clearly suits him. Deeb took down Event #6, a $400 Six-Max No-Limit Hold’em tournament, earning $34,195 after beating a field of 577 players.

It’s his second Circuit ring, and interestingly, both have come at the same venue. His first was back in 2023, when he won the Main Event at Turning Stone.

That venue has also been the setting for one of the more unusual stories in his career. During that 2023 series, Deeb was owed $10,000 by a friend, DJ MacKinnon

Instead of a standard handoff, the money was hidden inside a box of protein bars and casually dropped at Deeb’s table while he was in the middle of a tournament.

Thinking it was just a joke, Deeb pushed the box aside and forgot about it. He only realized what had happened hours later, during dinner, when MacKinnon asked if he’d received the payment.

That led to a quick return to the tournament floor, where, somehow, the box was still sitting exactly where he had left it, with the cash untouched.

Finally Eligible for the Poker Hall of Fame

Back to the present, Deeb’s resume is already packed. He has eight WSOP bracelets, including two won in 2025 alone, and now adds another Circuit title to the list.

At the same time, 2026 also marks his first year of eligibility for the Poker Hall of Fame, adding another layer to what could already be a big year.

Whether he’s chasing another Player of the Year title or thinking about long-term legacy, one thing is clear. Deeb isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
