Ivey Aims For 12th WSOP Bracelet at the $25k H.O.R.S.E. Final
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table is still underway but another final table inside the Horseshoe Events Center is also grabbing the attention of poker aficionados.
We’re talking about the $25,000 High Roller H.O.R.S.E. event that only has nine players left.
Two of them are mentally preparing to make history.
First of all, 73 GPI-ranked American poker icon Phil Ivey is going to give his all to take home his 12th WSOP bracelet.
Secondly, fellow America with a 2,732 GPI ranking and seven WSOP bracelets won Scott Seiver wants to become the first player in history to grab four bracelets during the same year.
Seiver, who won $25,616,582 in total live earnings, is also interested in locking up the prestigious WSOP Player of the Year title.
Each of the final nine competitors seated at the $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. final table will leave with a guaranteed $65,761 while the big winner will scoop up $725,926.
Ivey Made History Last Month
Ivey, who has accumulated total live earnings worth $44,871,648, turned into the second poker player in history to win 11 WSOP titles in June.
The Poker Hall of Famer won the $10,000 2-7 Triple Draw Championship for $347,440, marking his first bracelet win since 2014.
A fresh win would bring him a lot closer to Phil Hellmuth’s record counting no less than 17 gold bracelets.
Seiver, Eligible for the WSOP PHoF Next Year
A possible win for Scott Seiver in the H.O.R.S.E. tournament would put an end to all doubt as to the player who will next be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2025, the year when he will turn 40 and become eligible.
Winning the event would bring him his eighth WSOP bracelet and help him pass the $27 million mark in terms of lifetime live tournament cash wins.
A win would also turn him into the first player in poker history to win four bracelets in the same calendar year as well as the same series.
