The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event only has two final players left after an action-packed Day 10 saw plenty of dramatic eliminations, massive double-ups, and quite a few memorable bad beats.
Jumalon Currently on Top
Lucas Jumalon of Washington will enter the championship match with the chip lead as he looks to capture poker’s most prestigious title and the $10 million first-place prize.
Standing in the way of the 22-year-old is Lauri Saaskilahti of Finland, who is aiming to become the first Finnish player ever to win the WSOP Main Event.
Jumalon called it a night with 328 million chips (109 big blinds), while Saaskilahti bagged 225 million (75 big blinds), setting up an exciting heads-up battle.
Saaskilahti credited one pivotal hand for changing the course of his tournament. Holding king-queen against the pocket aces of Han Feng, the Finnish pro completed a runner-runner straight to eliminate Feng in fifth place for $2.25 million.
Saaskilahti said after play concluded,
That was probably the key hand for today. After that, pretty much everything went my way.
Explosive Atmosphere
The day began with NBA star Draymond Green giving the traditional “Shuffle Up and Deal” announcement, while enthusiastic fan sections created one of the loudest atmospheres seen at a Main Event final table in years.
Some of the standout railbirds were supporters of Canadian poker veteran Greg Mueller, whose chants could be heard loud and clear throughout the Horseshoe Event Center as the four-time bracelet winner staged multiple double-ups to stay alive.
Mueller’s run eventually ended in third place, earning $3.75 million after his pocket fours failed to overcome Saaskilahti’s pocket kings.
